The rules for these forums should be old hat to anyone who's used a message board before, but here's some general guidelines nonetheless; Please bear in mind, though, that this list is not comprehensive, and that ultimately what is acceptable on the forum is at the discretion of the moderators/admins. In general, use common sense and you should have no problems.
1. No Spam
I suppose there's no point in saying this, since spambots are not likely to be reading these rules anyway, but don't spam the forums with irrelevant comments or links. What constitutes spam is up to the mods; Obvious spambot posts will be deleted at once, and the posting account locked; Otherwise you will probably get a warning.
2. Trolling/Language
This isn't the Disney channel, and we will probably not come down too hard on you for the odd curse word here and there, but when profanity is being used to incite people or get a reaction it will be moderated and you will get a warning. As previously stated, use common sense.
3. Personal Attacks
Racist, violent, or otherwise abusive posts are absolutely unacceptable. You are free to disagree with other members of the site as long as you do so respectfully and refrain from attacking the member personally. If someone flames you, don't respond in kind or you will get a warning right along with the offending party; Dealing with trolls is the moderator's job, so if you come across one don't encourage them, just report them to the mods.
4. Cross-Posting
If you're not sure where to post, don't post the same question everywhere; If your post is in the wrong place a mod will move it for you.
5. Signatures
This isn't 4chan, keep the signatures understated. No loud or offensive images, garish fonts, or spammy links.
6. No Sock Puppets
Creating multiple user accounts for the same person is against the rules; It clogs up the site and there is no good reason for anyone to have more than one account.
7. The moderator is always right.
